1
Choose a Fasting Window
Start with a simple 16:8 intermittent fasting routine.
Finish eating by 8:00 PM and don’t eat again until 12:00 PM the following day. During your fasting window, drink water and other calorie-free drinks to stay hydrated.
During a fast, your body gradually shifts from using recently consumed glucose towards stored energy sources. Reduces unnecessary snacking and helps establish healthier daily habits.
2
Be Patient With Your Withdrawal
Withdrawal is rarely comfortable, and no two people experience it the same way.
Depending on how much nicotine you’ve consumed and for how long, you may experience cravings, irritability, anxiety, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, mood swings, disrupted sleep or night sweats. Some people notice physical symptoms, while others find the mental battle much harder.
These feelings often come in waves. One moment you may feel completely fine, and the next you may have a strong urge to vape. That’s a normal part of recovery.

Understanding Varenicline (Champix)
A tool that may help some people—but not everyone.
According to my 50–50 Philosophy, no single solution works for everyone. Varenicline may be highly effective for some people, while others may find different approaches work better.
This article isn’t here to promote or discourage medication. It’s here to explain the science behind how varenicline works and why long-term recovery is about more than reducing physical cravings.
1. Reduces Nicotine Cravings
Varenicline works on nicotine receptors in the brain, helping reduce cravings without producing the same rewarding effects as nicotine.
50–50 Perspective: It may help some people significantly, while others may benefit more from different approaches.
2. Helps Manage Withdrawal
It may reduce common withdrawal symptoms such as cravings, irritability and anxiety.
50–50 Perspective: Medication can support physical withdrawal, but changing long-term habits still takes time.
3. Blocks the Reward
If you smoke while taking varenicline, it reduces the pleasurable effects of nicotine.
50–50 Perspective: Breaking the chemical addiction is one step—breaking the daily routine is another.
